The rules were changed with Corona in mind
It was decided to make a second reservation chart 2 hours before the departure of the train by the railways in view of the Corona period. But from October 10, the rules will change again. The second reservation chart will then be made 30 minutes from the time the train departed. Ticket booking facility will be available online and at PRS ticket counters before the second chart is ready.
This system will now be applied
The first chart of reservations from October 10 will be prepared at least 4 hours before the train departs. Other passengers will be able to book empty seats or berths online or over the counter. The second reservation chart will then be ready 30 minutes before the train departs. This timetable will also have a provision to cancel pre-booked tickets.
CRIS will change the software soon
The Railway Information System Center (CRIS) will make the necessary changes to the software to resume charting technology 30 minutes before the train departs. Testing will then begin and the system will be implemented from October 10.
